The first Bombardier Global 7500 was delivered in early December 2018 and entered service later that month. Transport Canada was the first to issue Type Certification in September 2018, with the FAA following in November. ![]() Shortly after being renamed the Global 7500, flight testing was completed by mid-August 2018, with certification expected that September. Originally named the Global 7000, the first aircraft of Bombardier’s program underwent taxi testing in 2016 and had amassed about 2,000 hours towards the planned year-end entry into service by the end of May. The Bombardier Vision flight deck features advanced fly-by-wire technology and exceptional ergonomics and aesthetics. The aircraft boasts one of the industry’s most spacious cockpits, equipped with a permanent side-facing jump seat. The Global 7500 is powered by two specially designed GE Passport engines, taking it to a top speed of Mach 0.925 (982 km/h).
